Memorial Day 2025 falls on Monday, May 26th, but oversize travel restrictions often begin earlier—as early as Friday, May 23rd in many states—and may extend through Tuesday, May 27th.
Typical restrictions include:

Limited hours for movement (e.g., sunrise to noon only)
All State Permit Offices Will Be Closed on Memorial Day
Another critical factor to consider: All state DOT permit offices will be closed on Monday, May 26th in observance of the holiday. This means:
Any permit that requires manual review or state approval will not be processed until Tuesday.
